Of, by and for the people: Real Democratic candidates, real elections,
real heroes

February 24, 2004—Is there reason to believe that a softer version of Bush, a softer sponsor of corporate rule, or another tell them what they want to hear "president," will "save" America and its people from Bush?

Knowing what we know about the power of big money to create and destroy charismatic front men, instantly, with sophisticated mass propaganda campaigns (and control of election processes, machinery, hired hands, and a lot of money), is there any reason to believe Kerry and Edwards were actually "elected" by voters in the primaries to be the current frontrunners in the so-called nomination of a Democratic candidate for presidential "election" 2004?

Not. Instead, there is every reason to doubt all poll and election results, under current circumstances.

There is also good reason to conclude the whole thing is staged and well planned in advance.

Both Kerry and Edwards are among the most "conservative" Democratic senators in the U.S. Senate. Both have been ardent Bush cheerleaders until just before they announced their bid for the presidency. Both have since, very meticulously and incrementally to escape public scrutiny, positioned themselves as being "against" Bush.

Both of them transfigured themselves along the way (with the help of professional masters of disguise no doubt) into situational liberals,
increasingly so as their campaigns progress. Kerry in particular can be seen even grabbing the slogans Edwards has used to fire up his followers of recent.

In other words, the "competition" seems to have nothing to do with whom the public wants, rather whom a cabal of corporate tyrants have decided will play in this orchestrated public mockery of democracy.  It is a competition, either pre-decided months or years ago or gladiator-type entertainment for a cabal of pro-war-and-world-domination plutocrats. Or both.

It is a race to see who will best serve the current interests of the mission, who will exhibit the most charisma portrayed as the people's
"savior," in terms of ability to mislead, dupe, tell the promises people want to hear, and they do not intend to keep.  Ultimately, do the most
damage to those who want peace and democracy with the least effort—and public notice.

Social control by demoralizing the public. Fuel (false) hopes. Energize groups into action. Build their hopes, only to crush them.

Only sadistic, sick minds would come up with these schemes; invitations to participate in "good versus evil" groupthink.

Conceivably, there is good reason to believe that Dean was a player. One of the most widely used means of controlling election results has been the demoralization of voters. Enter Howard Dean. As governor, Dean was one of the most conservative elected Democratic officials. Long before the debates started, he positioned himself early as a progressive against Bush to gain the public's recognition. By the time the debates started, his message was on target, that is, everything the public wanted to hear—in abstract terms—without any real commitment to changes in cold war policies, occupations, war-mongering, NAFTA, etc. The impossible dream, as the debates were well publicized (by corporate media!), became a real possibility. Hopes of progressives were further fueled by corporate media with driving momentum. Dean was going to save America from Bush, they taunted, even as rumors and attacks began. Then, came the hatchet—the crushing of progressives' hopes with "shock and awe." How could this be?

Mass propaganda campaigns covered all the bases. They asked the questions they claimed the public asked. How can so many vote for Kerry, a proven insider? They gave the answers, of course, they claimed the practical voters gave. Kerry is "electable" (in other words, selected by corporate-military-complex to be one of the finalists in the rink for the final match).

Not for a moment should we believe that Democrats voted for the likes of Kerry or Edwards in such numbers as to make them frontrunners. Not when there was an option to vote for someone, Dean or Kucinich, who incomparably reflected their deepest wishes and hopes!

Predictably, corporate media invited progressives to blame themselves and one another. Who would be so stupid, progressives asked themselves, as to trust Kerry (or Edwards—or anyone in Lieberman's token opposition wing of fascist corporate ruled one-party totalitarian state (a.k.a. "New Democratic Leadership")? Don't they read the "papers"? Well . . . I guess that means we deserve what we get, right?

Wrong. That's what big money hopes the public concludes. Besides, a free press would have stirred public outrage against the immoral and illegal methods big money uses to subvert democratic processes. A free press would not be playing blame the victim games.

One may safely say there is no reason to believe any current "election" results. Based on what we learned in election 2000. Based on the fact that the methods and means have since become more flagrantly fraudulent (i.e., so called California recall). Based on the fact that still there is only token legislation from Congress, combined with only token opposition from so-called civil rights and pro-labor groups.

Thus far, there is only one candidate who is genuinely democratic, whose record speaks for itself. Dennis Kucinich. Corporate media has tried to ignore him, hoping he would go away. That they would use this strategy speaks volumes in terms of how they want to portray him—deceptively—as a lost vote.

Isn't the level of corporate control obvious? On the one side, ladies and gentlemen, there are the "electable" albeit pro-war-and-corporate-rule candidates—Kerry or Edwards. On the other side, there are the what people want pro-social-justice-and-democratic-rule candidates, commonly referred to as "lost votes."

And, for those still tempted to rebel against the "manufactured consent" limits of "democracy" as defined by a corporate-military cabal ruling
few, there are more "choices," strategically speaking, to make it more confusing for the unconsenting (disobedient) voters and, simultaneously, more entertaining for the cabal: One may choose between a "lost vote" for one of the candidates whom big money operatives are using as "disruptive forces," such as Sharpton and Nader, or the one—only one—brave enough candidate who has stood up to the status quo powers throughout his career, Dennis Kucinich.

Purely Orwellian, dear friends. How can this be anything but a premeditated dilemma, professionally engineered?

The whole election process is a farce, and has been for some time. In fact, it's time we the people, especially our historians, researchers,
authors, ask: How long has this been going on? (i.e., see Thom Hartmann, on abolishing "corporate personhood," established in late 1800s.)

It's time to do our own thinking.

A Kucinich vote is not a lost vote, especially in a system where the entire voting system is likely rigged to the core. If anything, it's time for people to demand more candidates who are real choices for the people and social justice and peace. And, it's time to stop apologizing for demanding what is good for the people, and, simultaneously, denounce the criminal methods for "manufacturing consent" (a.k.a. mass propaganda campaigns run by totalitarian control ideologues).

If anything, it's time to draw the world's attention to the fact that there are no free elections, no free press, no citizen participation, no
democracy in the United States, and the connections between the stifling of democracy in the U.S. and what has really been done under the guise of spreading "democracy" and "wealth" around the globe.

Enough with the topsy-turvy world illusions.

The idea that a clearly oligarchic state, which has systematically oppressed its people, minorities, women, and so on, is benevolently
spreading democracy via kind soldiers who distribute chocolates and chewing gum to children is absurd.

In Hitler's words, "Through clever and constant application of propaganda people can be made to see paradise as hell, and also the other way around, to consider the most wretched sort of life as paradise." (Mein Kampf, 1923)

One of the best definitions for fascism was given by Benito Mussolini, one of the fascist dictators that big money brought to power, who said, "Fascism should rightly be called corporatism as it is a merger of state and corporate power."

In a recent report published in The Nation, Ronnie Dugger states, "Dennis Kucinich is the one candidate for president whose vision,
eloquence and commitments on the issues can lead us to rise to and surmount the worldwide crises precipitated by the Bush administration."

In another commentary, peace activist Jane Stillwaterurges voters to consider that Kucinich is the "only presidential candidate willing to save America from a bloodbath."

Limbaugh, Coulter, and others are working overtime to turn Americans against Americans. Listen in and decide.

The reality is that hate rhetoric toward liberals and progressives is incrementally rising to dangerous levels in the U.S., not unlike that which occurred in years leading to the Jewish Holocaust in Nazi Germany. (Conceivably, the real reason Jewish people were targeted may just be
because of their position, overall, as intellectuals, including Einstein himself, who became strong advocates against war and world domination.)

The hate rhetoric should not be taken lightly, nor be excused as something both sides engage in, i.e., the portrayal of all advocates for
peace and democracy as "Bush-haters" is grossly inaccurate. There are no Limbaugh and Coulter equivalents on the so-called "left."

In fact, the so-called "left" is an illusion itself. The real battle throughout history seems to be between a wealth and power hoarding ruling few, warring against those who seek to govern themselves with peace and social justice (which conservatives, rightly so, view as threats to oligarchic rule).

In a nutshell, totalitarianism is a product of the quest of oligarchic rulers to devise ways of protecting themselves from popular uprisings
against oppression.

Enough with corporate media mind manipulations. Enough with corporate rule—fascism, imperialism, colonialism, neoconservatism—and all other oligarchic rule disguises.

This is no longer about mere elections, but about restoring human dignity, ending hate propaganda campaigns and the genocide they produce, exposing the double edge of big money induced hatreds, which serve to blame the victims, on one hand, and hide the real organizers on the other.

This election year is not just about Americans, but about ending atrocities around the world committed in our name. It's about addressing
the threat, the real threat, to human survival—a cabal of sick minds, obsessed with hoarding wealth and power.

It's time citizens everywhere take the lead, be their own heroes, the real heroes of a real democratic state, establishing institutions that
are at all levels of governance of, by and for the people.
